Less than two weeks to go…yes, it’s still scary, and with each passing day it gets more and more real, especially when it’s announcement time. Drums please.
We have a sponsor! (no idea why it’s ‘we’ and not ‘me’ but go with it) and it is the local but nationally operating energy and environmental consultancy, Planet First Energy, and this is what I want to say…
My huge thanks to Planet First Energy for supporting the event. Planet First CIC is a Sheffield based energy consultancy, providing business energy solutions across the UK. Their profits fund initiatives that combat fuel poverty locally and nationally through their partnership with National Energy Action. In the last year they have assisted 852 households, helped 274 individuals through outreach visits, trained 170 frontline workers, all funded by their commercial consultancy across all sectors, reducing consumption and carbon footprints for the benefit of all our futures.
They have also supported Melanoma Focus. Dementia Friends, Cancer Research, Young Minds Trust, Bluebell Wood, Support Dogs and mental health in the automotive industry.
And now we can add Sheffield Mind to the list to benefit from their support.
I have chosen to support Sheffield Mind with the book launch because mental health care provision in my home city is woefully underfunded, especially for children, and I am delighted that Planet First Energy has offered to match whatever we raise for Sheffield Mind in book sales on the night.
